Sandra Patricia O’Neal Rogerson

Sandra Patricia O’Neal Rogerson, 71, of Newport, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC, officiated by Pastor Rob Pate.

Sandra was born on September 26, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from Wilmington High School. She enjoyed working for different doctor’s offices until she retired in 2002. She and her husband of 52 years, John, relocated to Newport, North Carolina, to be closer to family. In her free time, she liked to spend time with her grandkids, traveling, doing puzzles and indoor gardening.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Rogerson Sr. of the home; daughter, Judith B. Freeman and husband David of Newport, NC; son, John C. Rogerson Jr. and wife Diane of Wilmington, DE; sister, Mary O’Neal of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Thomas O’Neal and wife Eileen of White Haven, PA, Michael O’Neal and wife Michelle of Wilmington, DE and Patrick O’Neal of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Brittany M. Boos of Newport, NC, Brieanna R. Boos of Newport, NC, Jarret T. Rogerson of Wilmington, DE, Dylan C. Rogerson of Wilmington, DE, Rebecca B. Boos of Ocracoke, NC and Brendan J. Boos of Newport, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelia O’Neal and Julian B. O’Neal, and grandson, Julian T. Boos.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Munden Funeral Home.
