Rosita Basco Cartier

Rosita Basco Cartier, 67, of Havelock, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at Carolina East Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, officiated by Father Bill Upah. The entombment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to attend the service. For those unable to attend, the family invites you to view the webcasting of the service through Rosita’s obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, there will be a limit to the number of people in the building at one time, as well, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Rosita was born November 30, 1953, to the late Thomas and Natividad Basco in the Philippines. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid gardener, a great cook, and an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her husband, David Cartier of the home; sons, Anthony W. Cartier and wife Amanda of Newport and David Basco and wife Shawna of Rogers, MN; sister, Yolanda of the Philippines; and three grandchildren, Kaylee Lynn Basco, Tori Brooklyn Basco and Elijah B. Cartier.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The same safety guidelines will apply.
