Robert Tyree Collins, 54, of Newport, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Pine Knoll Shores.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Munden Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to attend the service. For those unable to attend, the family invites you to view the webcasting of the service through Robert’s obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home. Additionally, there will be a limit to the number of people in the building at one time, as well, those who attend will be asked to bring and wear a protective mask. Help us honor the family while practicing safe measures. He is survived by his son, Robert Tyree Collins, Jr. of Newport; father, Robert D. Collins of Newport; brothers, Stephen Daniel Collins of Newport, Michael Bradley Collins of Morehead City, Brian Kelly Collins and wife Charissa of DeBary, FL, Dennis Christopher Collins and wife Brenda of Phoenix, AZ, and James Collins of Los Angeles, CA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Faye Collins.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home. The same safety guidelines will be followed.
