Percy George Bloxam

January 4, 1945 — September 11, 2020

Morehead City

Percy George Bloxam, 75, of Brandywine Bay in Morehead City, NC died Friday, September 11, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Bloxam was born January 4, 1945, in Salisbury, NC to the late Edwin Leonard Percy Bloxam and Edith Murray Bloxam.  He was a 1968 graduate of Wake Forest University and was the Demon Deacon mascot his sophomore year.  He was employed by Genuine Parts Company most of his professional career and recognized as the 2004 National Sales Manager of the Year.

He will be remembered fondly for his love for his family, keen sense of humor and mounds of what he called “useless information” which he loved to share.  Having never met a stranger, he always knew someone wherever he went.   He enjoyed the time he spent on Bogue Sound throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rebecca Yarbrough Bloxam; his daughter, Eran Bloxam Gordon of Cary, NC and husband, Jeff; his sister, Joyce Bloxam, of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Hannah and Scott Gordon; and his dear cousin, Jennifer Bloxam Burns, of Greenville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Hospice of Carteret County at P.O. Drawer 1619, Morehead City NC 28557.

Family and friends are welcome to submit online condolences at www.mundenfuneralhome.net
