James "Jamie" Thomas Boyette

May 11, 1972 — August 10, 2021

Formerly of Morehead City

James "Jamie" Thomas Boyette, 49, was granted his "riding wings" on August 10, 2021, at West Side Regional Hospital in Plantation, Florida, with 2 of his sisters present.

Jamie was born, May 11, 1972, in Morehead City, North Carolina, to Charles Boyette Sr. and Lois Potter Boyette. He was a graduate of West Carteret High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1993 until 1997, receiving an honorable discharge.

Jamie relocated to Florida in 2017, with his Colony Tire Corporation family, where he enjoyed his position and gained many new friends and new families associated with The Mine.
Jamie enjoyed a "good ride" and prided himself on his biker family and the camaraderie he received amongst this close-knit group.

Jamie was a "family man", perhaps not in the literal sense, but in his own way. Often talking about his work family, his biker family, his family in The Mine, along with his heartfelt family consisting of his daughter, Jami Leigh, his grandson, Jonathan Levi, his sisters and their families, his brother, and of course his new fur-baby, Stella. To Jamie, all were family, never wanting any of them to worry or trouble themselves with his issues. He would rather help whomever, than be the recipient of anyone's concern. He wanted to be the life of the party, enjoying each day for what it was: a new day, a new opportunity; for grasping that opportunity to enjoy life, enjoy a few adult beverages, enjoy a little casino action, and grasp that opportunity to spread his infections smile and bold personality.

Jamie is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jamie is survived by his stepmother, Patricia Boyette of Florida; brother, Charles Boyette Jr. of Minnesota; sisters, Christine Jarchow (Wade) of Minnesota, Laura Lewis (John) of New Bern, NC, Raena Matthews (Tommy) of Newport, NC; aunt, Ann Davis of Cape Carteret, NC; daughter, Jami Leigh Boyette; grandson, Jonathan Levi Godfrey; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service for Jamie will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery in Morehead City.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
