Gertrude Bergeron Estave

Gertrude Bergeron Estave, 96, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Bern.

Gertrude was born in Houma, Louisiana, on April 15, 1925, to the late Abibader, and Alice Bergeron. She was a devoted catholic and loved watching football. She will be forever missed by her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Madeline Ann Hamilton and husband Ross of Newport; granddaughters, Maris Slater and husband Dave of Newport, Monique of Houston, TX, Aimee of Lake Charles, LA and Desiree of Tennessee; grandson, Lesley Shay Levy and wife Jessica of Houma, LA; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Henry Estave, and son, Donald Joseph Estave.
