Eugene “Gene” Cochran, 88, of Havelock, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Gene was born on August 22, 1934, in Beattyville, Kentucky, to the late Orville and Margaret Cochran. He met his forever love when he married Jean Ann and they spent over 48 years together. Gene served in the U.S. Army for 2 years proudly representing his country. He was a true outdoorsman and loved to be in nature, whether it be fishing or hunting. Gene loved his family more than anything and valued his time as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
Those left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Jean Ann Cochran of the home; daughters, Barbara Jane Decatur (David) of Bay City, Michigan, Darlene June Baczkiewicz of Bay City, Michigan; sons, Gene Allen Cochran (Sue) of Pinconning, Michigan, Jerry Lee Cochran (April) of Linwood, Michigan; sisters, Judy Pillion (Chuck) of Michigan, Betty Banister (Robert) of Lutheran, Michigan; brothers, Jim Cochran of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bobby Cochran (Linda) of Michigan, Jerry Cochran (Mary) of Havelock; grandchildren, Tammy, Nicki, Michael, Jeremy, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brenden; great-great-grandchild, Emeryn Janelove.
