Obituary

Doloris Barbour, 68, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at her home.

Her memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 11th, at Munden Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Doloris was born on July 29, 1953, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to the late Robert and Eva George. She grew up in Newport and enjoyed her life on the Crystal Coast. Doloris worked diligently as a legal assistant for Kirkman, Whitford and Brady.

With amazing artistic ability, Doloris was an excellent painter and created beautiful ceramics. She was known as a wonderful host who knew how to throw a great party. More than anything, Doloris loved her family and always had a special place in her heart for her lovable cats.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Barbour of the home; daughters, Andrea Spitz and husband Michael of Newport and Robin Stephenson and husband Chris of Clayton; brother, Ronnie George and wife Pam of Beaufort; and grandchildren, TJ Spitz, Austin Massey, and Kaleigh Massey.
