Denise Monique Jacqueline Mortland

Denise Monique Jacqueline Mortland, 64, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Denise attended First Baptist Church, Morehead City with her son.  She was a member of the Cancer Club at Carteret Health Care.

Denise was a loving caring mother, grandmother, and a friend to all.  She loved going to the beach to watch the waves crash upon the sand and to watch people as they went by.  She also loved gardening in her yard with flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Leigh Burroughs and husband William Isiah Burroughs of Monroe, NC; son, Justin Richard Mortland of Morehead City; brothers, Mark Landry of Morehead City, and John Landry of Maryland; granddaughter, Georgia Leigh Burroughs; and her loving puppies, Ellie and Bailey.
