David Mafnas Salas

David Mafnas Salas, 60, of Havelock, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at ECU Medical Center.

His funeral mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at Annunciation Catholic Church, presided by Rev. Jim Buchholz. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at Annunciation Catholic Church.

David was born on September 25, 1962, in Guam, to the late Francisco and Carmen Salas. He spent many years in beautiful San Diego from 2000-2018. David worked in the AC Tech Business for over 36 years. When he retired, he moved to Craven County. Since then, he has spent quality time with his family. David loved working with his hands, whether it be woodworking, gardening, or fixing up his jeep and riding around. His family will cherish the precious memories they have with him.

He is survived by his daughters, Erica Maisonet (Jose) of Havelock, Danisha Camacho of San Diego, California; son, Darrell Camacho (Christina) of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Kaliyah Camacho, Xavia Maisonet, Mathias David Maisonet, Ryker Maisonet, Kaiden Camacho, Sybul Camacho, Luhx Camacho, DJay Camacho, Darla Camacho, Bella Camacho, and Daisy Camacho.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Isabel Salas Santos; brothers, Peter Mafnas Salas, Frank Mafnas Salas, and Tony Mafnas Salas.
