Cowboy James "Jim" Russell Markley

Cowboy James "Jim" Russell Markley, 65, of Havelock, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at his home.

There will be a celebration of Jim’s life at the VFW in Havelock at a later date.

Jim was born on June 3, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Frank and Rachel Markley. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps with outspoken patriotism. With numerous years of service, he retired from the military and became involved with the VFW Post 7315. Jim was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Ann Markley of the home; daughters, Heather, Amanda, Amey, Patricia, and Colleen; sons, Medrick and Ronnie; sisters, Onita Graham of Texas, Bonnie Sweet of Arizona, Barbara Yates of Arizona, and Mary Ellen Satterfield; brothers, David Markley of Havelock and Dale Markley of New Mexico; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
