Obituary
Cathleen "Cathy" Ann Winkelmann, 68, of Newport, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at her home.
Her graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 11, at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens in Havelock. The family will receive friends following the service.
Cathleen, or Cathy as she was affectionately known, was born on August 2, 1953, in Wheeling, West Virginia. In 1989 she moved to Eastern North Carolina making her home on the Crystal Coast.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Winkelmann of Havelock, Jo Winkelmann and husband William Allard Jr. of Havelock, and Kristy Winkelmann of Kansas; sister, Jackie Weisz of Pennsylvania; brother, Jerry Bigler; and 11 grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as nana.
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gunny Sergeant Joseph C. Winkelmann.
