Eleanor Grace Gillikin, 86, of Morehead City, died Tuesday July 10, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral will be held 11:00 am Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating. Interment will follow at Gillikin Family Cemetery.
She is survived by a son Kenneth Wadell Gillikin and wife Jannette of Bettie, and a daughter Cynthia Brown of Morehead City: four grandchildren Wendy Garner and husband Durwood, Ginger Wellons, Kelly G. Jordan and husband Mike, and Kevin Gillikin and wife Tammy: eight great grandchildren Robin Wilson and husband Tom, Hannah Garner, Brittney Wellons, Jacob "Jake" Cahoon, Christopher Lupton, Crystal Davis, Ariana Wilson, and Dylan Jordan: one great great granddaughter Sophia Mae Wilson: neice and special friend Rebecca Smith and husband Gerry T. Sr., nephew Roland Lawrence Jr.,and wife Lisa, great nephew Ted Smith and wife Faye: two great great neices Madison and Peyton Smith, and great great nephew Davis Lawrence: brother in-law Roland Lawrence Sr. and wife Ellen.
She was preceded in death by husband Wadell Gillikin, one granddauhter Sarah Dawn Brown, son in-law Rex Brown, and great nephew Todd Smith.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Otway Christian Church Building Fund 242 Gillikin Rd. Beaufort, NC 28516.
