John Phillip Munden, Jr., age 49, 3rd generation Funeral Director and Co-Owner of Munden Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.. Graduated West Carteret High School in 1984 and then graduated from Gupton-Jones School of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA. I have worked at the Funeral Home since 1983.
I have been involved with the Jaycees, past President of Lookout Rotary Club and former member of the N.C. Seafood Festival. I am also a member of the N.C. Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, N.C. Cremation Association, and CANA-Cremation Association of North America. I have always been a part of the funeral home since high school and love my work and being able to help others in such a very hard time in their lives.
I enjoy surfing, fishing, riding motorcycles, hunting, and just doing things with my family and coaching kids in various sports.

Stephen Odom was born in New Bern North Carolina. He started working in Funeral Service in 1991 where he served his apprenticeship and then attended Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Ga. He graduated from Gupton Jones College in 1996.
He became licensed in North Carolina as a Funeral Service Licensee in 1996 . Stephen has been serving families ever since in Craven, Jones, Onslow, Pamlico and Carteret Counties and the surrounding area. Stephen became part of Munden Funeral Home and Crematory staff in 2001 and in 2014 became Manager.
Stephen is married to Christina Harding Odom and has three children: one daughter, Bella Grace Odom and two sons, Blake Odom and Gavin Odom.
He enjoys spending time with his family, along with fishing and hunting. He is a member of National Funeral Directors Association and District Director of North Carolina Funeral Directors Association. He is a member of Ocean Lodge 0405 AF&AM of Morehead City, and the Morehead City Elks Lodge # 1710.

Adam W. Fisher is originally from southern California but now calls Morehead City home along with his wife and their young son.
Adam has been in the funeral business since 2010 and became part of Munden Funeral Home in the summer of 2014. He has a degree in funeral service from Fayetteville Technical Community College and is a North Carolina Funeral Service licensee.
He is an Eagle Scout that loves spending time with his family and working with his hands. He can usually be found or covered in sawdust under the hood of his old car.
Pastor Manley B. Rose, Jr. is an ordained minister and has been the pastor at Refuge Fellowship Church in Harkers Island, N.C. since 1990.
He is married to Jean, and they have two daughters, Correna and Rachel.
Manley began working part-time with Munden Funeral Home & Crematory in 2000. He became a full time Funeral Assistant in 2012. He also ministers to families and officiates funeral services for families that do not have a pastor.
Tom Kelly is a native of Carteret County. In 1988, he graduated from West Carteret High School and in November of the same year, married his wife of 25 years, Becky. Together they have three sons, Joshua, Jordan, and Jeremy, and one granddaughter, Alayna Elizabeth.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, sports and inventing new dishes in the kitchen. He is also an active member of Life Point Church in Newport.
He has worked with Munden Funeral Home & Crematory for almost a year, and he enjoys working with his fellow employees and assisting families in their time of need.

Dennis Newport was born in West Palm Beach, FL and moved across country to Oklahoma then California as a child. Dennis joined the U.S. Navy after high school. After honorably serving his country, he pursued his college degree from Modesto Junior College.
Dennis has an accomplished career in the funeral industry for over 20 years. He has worked for Gethesemane Memorial Park and Carteret Memorial Gardens since 2007.
Dennis is married to his wife, Jeanne, their children are grown and work out of state.
He enjoys history, traveling and taking walks with his wife and their dog.
Nick McFerran has been caring for families in funeral service since 1979 and has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1985. Mr. McFerran assists families on a daily basis with funeral and cremation pre-arrangements at Munden Funeral Home & Crematory.
He and his wife Mona have three children and one grandchild. Nick enjoys spending time with family and friends, landscape gardening, being outdoors, collecting antiques, grilling and cooking.
Nick attended Ball State University, a graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Services along with the American Grief Academy. He is also a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock, Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree member, Moose Lodge of Newport, Elks Lodge of Morehead City, The National Rifle Association, and a honorary member of the N.C. Sheriff’s Association.
Nick is a professional member of the National Funeral Directors Association, National Hospice Organization, North Carolina and Indiana Funeral Directors Associations, and a member of the National Disaster Emergency Response Team.
Tracey moved to North Carolina in 1985 from southern California and began her career at Hamlin & Murdoch, CPA firm. She went to Carteret Community College where she took her accounting courses.
In 1985, she was hired at Munden Funeral Home as their “in-house” bookkeeper and has remained a loyal employee to this day.
She has an amazing fiancé, Kenny, an extraordinary talented daughter, wonderful son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter who reside here in Carteret County. Her hobbies are fishing, boating, camping & her #1 joy is being a Nana.
Mary, a Carteret County native, became a member of the Munden Funeral Home family in 2000 as a secretary.
Mary and her husband, David and their four-legged kid, Biltmore, live in Newport. Her hobbies include reading, movies, and of course watching UNC Tarheel Basketball in honor of their son Brad.
